1)  Next LacanianWorks Working Group Meeting:  Saturday 14th July between 10am and 1pm

 

There will be the usual mixture of conversations and presentations from Bruce Scott, Bruno de Florence, Jo Rostron, Julia Evans, following our topic of the ‘Symbolic in the 21st Century’, on Saturday 14th July  between 10am and 1pm.

 

Topic for this meeting:

 

There will be a group reading of Jacques-Alain Miller’s text outlining the theme for the IXth Congress of the World Association of Psychoanalysis: A Great Disorder of the Real, in the 21st Century: Paris in 2014.  This text, title: The real in the 21st century, is available from:  http://www.lacan.com/thesymptom/?page_id=2004

The focus of our cartel work is Eric Laurent’s article: ‘The Symbolic Order in the XXI Century: Consequences for the Treatment’. This text, given in July 2010, leads to the  VIII Congress of the World Association of Psychoanalysis: (WAP Congress) : “The Symbolic Order in the 21st Century”  in April 2012.
